The RDSO is more than a performance ensemble; we are a dedicated community partner. Through youth mentorship, educational outreach, and accessible performances, we strive to ensure that world-class music is available to every resident of Red Deer and the surrounding area.
Music For Mental Health
Music for Mental Health is an inclusion program which allows for free concert seating to marginalized or isolated members of our community. Music for Mental Health runs in partnership with other local service agencies in providing complimentary tickets to each concert for their clients and caregivers to promote improved mental health and inclusion of vulnerable people.

Open Rehearsals provide free access to RDSO dress rehearsals for students, families, and seniors, with an educational study guide and Q & A session with one of RDSO’s musicians or featured guest artists.

Symphony @ the Snell (S@S) is a free program presenting high quality, creatively programmed, and nationally-recognized classical music in Red Deer, in partnership with the Red Deer Public Library. S@S involves soloists and small ensembles presenting their instruments, repertoire, and career and educational accomplishments by performing for audiences of all ages.
